I seem to attract the attention of exclusively new people. To all you new people out there, "Hi, what's going on? Start drawing, writing, or cooking." I don't mean any offense, nor do I mean to intimate that I don't like people to look at my stuff. I just want to encourage you to engage the arts with the rest of us.

Even if you don't think you are too good, put up a drawing a week (for example) then in a year look back at the first one. I'm not talking about some manga type character sketches, try drawing something from life exactly how you see it. It will blow your mind how much better you get. Many people think that drawing is a skill of the hand, but it really all start with the eye, then goes to memory, then finally to the hand. Manga is great, I've read many series over the years, but if you only draw "Original Manga Character Z" you will only get better at drawing that. When you learn to draw from life, you gain the perception necessary to draw anything. What have you got to loose? Hours of Halo playing, days of pirated anime watching, a life time sitting in the side-liners club? Are those really worth keeping around?
